Let me explain a little further. I can receive a resume which is a total mess (no offence, of course!) that makes little to no sense when it comes to writing and presenting the story that is a career. It can take a good 20 minutes to an hour of reading the resume over and over, pulling out and extracting the bits that matter and erasing the bits that don't. And then communicating with the resume owner to make sure that the paper story and the life story match up. This requires time and skill. Larger resume writing organizations of course hold their merit, although they are required to 'churn out' resumes to pay the over heads. They have to stick to a basic format and in many cases the resume writers them selves don't understand what they are reading or writing.

You will read a lot of buzz words and discriptions of ways to write and format your resume. Honestly - I don't know if I agree. A resume is a professional yet, a personal document. I'm not keen to add these buzz words to my service's or website. It just a matter of what repsents you the most. And there is a varying amount of techniques involved. So, don't worry about the buzz words and 'do this', 'do that', 'write this'.
